Jesus Said...

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Mark 10:14, NIV

A Message From Our Superintendant

We believe the greatest message that the young people of today can hear is that God loves them and wants them to know His Son as their personal Savior.

Join us on Sunday at 11:45 AM as we meet to sing songs, tell Bible stories and discuss what it's like to have a real relationship with God.  Sunday School classes are available for children (ages 3 and up), teenagers and young adults.  Two adult Bible classes are also available. One is especially for those who are learning English.

We hope to see you soon!

George
Younge Adult Class
Teens and early twenties

The aim of this class is to study and discus the Bible in a small group setting. Topics generally come from questions that have been asked by the students themselves. There is a focus on practical teaching that will instruct young Christians as well as the importance of a personal relationship with God.

The book The Case for Christ students edition by Lee Strobel, and Articles from Truth and Tidings magazine have been used in the past as resources to generate discussion and questions.

Sarah Giraldi
Boys and Girls, ages 12-14

Our class has been studying the parables of the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus used these stories about every day people and situations to teach spiritual lessons to His disciples, the religious leaders, and the crowds that followed Him. We are currently spending a few weeks talking about Christian missionaries and martyrs who followed the Lord's command to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel."

Natalie
Boys and girls, ages 10-12

I grew up attending Sunday school at the Lansing Gospel Hall, and all these years later, I've found myself teaching a class of my own.  This is a blessing I am tremendously thankful for.  Every Sunday I have the privilege of being faced with a table full of 10-12 year olds.  They are consistently filled with questions about pretty much anything and everything, as young, inquisitive minds often are.  Having been their age not so long ago myself, I realize the importance of the pre-teen years for building a solid Scriptural foundation.

I pray that the Lord guides the class each Sunday as we learn Bible verses, look at God's promises, and study His Word.  It is my sincere hope that not only do each one of the students first receive Jesus as their personal Saviour, but that they would also be equipped to withstand the many pressures of being a teenager, pressures that are lurking just around the corner.

Angela
Boys and girls, ages 7-9

In our class we are studying the Bible, book by book, and learning that all the books together tell one story, the story of God and what he's done for us. Each week we explore a different book of the Bible using the stories and activities to help learn about Jesus and his love for us.

Elaine
Boys & Girls, ages 4 - 6

I have the privilege of teaching 4, 5 and 6 year olds biblical truths centred upon the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Our focus is to learn God's word and discuss themes such as creation, salvation and a relationship with God.  The lessons are interactive and include a Bible story, craft activity and memory verse.  The children are encouraged to participate by asking and answering questions and reciting memory verses.

Melody, Heather and Annie
Boys and girls, ages 2-3

We have the privilege of teaching the very youngest class of children who are between the ages of 2 and 3 years.  During this phase of childhood, there are so many things to learn and explore, and we help them to discover the wonderful basic truths of God, His Son Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  Incorporating structured play, songs, story telling, and art, these youngsters can begin to learn about the wonderful world around them that He created, the fundamentals of God's love for each and every one of them, and the special gift that is Christ Jesus.
